You know how a few months ago that it was time to get started on prepping the garden and planting?
Well, since I’ve been caught up in the throes of pregnancy nausea, I’ve been less than inclined to get my own garden prepped!
Here’s what my garden space at my MIL’s looks like right now.
Ahem.
Are you ready?
Haha!! That is SO not my garden. It’s my MIL’s rose bed.
Ok, really – here it is.
Don’t laugh, ok?
All right. You can laugh. It’s pretty bad.
(p.s. isn’t my little silver dog in the background so, SO cute?)
Thanks to my MIL, it’s actually cleared of weeds and grass. She motivated me to join her last week for a beautiful morning in the outdoors, breathing in much cooler air. Thanks, Jan!
Today we’re heading to the nursery to buy some flowers to plant. I will probably put in a few seeds but not many.
Hey, I’m busy nourishing other kinds of life right now.
But I’m the one in need of fall garden inspiration this year!
If you’re starting late on the garden this year, it’s not too late for you either.
What are you planting?
ha!! i actually had squash, tomato and lettuce seeds starting to sprout. but just before i was going to transplant them…we left on our “spontaneous” trip and ended up killing them all. seriously….i think i might give up!
Haha! You should have seen my garden this summer Ashley. I fought those darn squash bugs for a long time but they eventually decimated my crop. It was ALL dead at the end. I’m going for easier stuff right now. Herbs, flowers and a few tomato plants (from the nursery!). Even if you don’t plant any more seeds, get out in the dirt a little. It’s good for your soul. 😉
